How does it go with insurance?

I assume you are asking if you unofficially take over a lease, but its still in the original lessee's name?

I've never done it like that, i've always had it officially switched over to the new person's name, and then they get regular insurance.

Don't waste your time on roto. I got my current lease from honcker (great deal BTW) but their current business model is horrible. Basically adds $2,000 towards money down for any lease.

-1 There is no one best insurance company, if you don't shop around at least every 2-3 years you're definitely paying too much.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

So let's do it in a time map:

Wednesday 10:00 at night I placed my order, I was prompt to upload a picture of my ID card, picture of existing lease, and social security number.

Thursday 9:00 in the morning the inventory was confirmed with the dealership through Rodo that the car is available before they do the credit check.

A hour or so later I got a notification that I'm approved for the lease and the car is now reserved for me!

By 12 o'clock the car was technically ready for pickup - if not for Corona.

So the car was ready for pickup in about 14 hours from placing my order until the car was ready for me!!

I'm going to pick up the car myself instead of the free delivery option they offer because they told me that due to Corona the dealership can't promise me on a date for delivery, so Rodo is providing me a Lyft car ride to the dealership that's a 52 mile trip!

So my answer is yes I would very likely use them again, and it was a very good experience

That deal is decent, not great. A friend just got 10k a year for $335 a month 0 due at signing.
As far as Rodo is concerned, your experience is not typical. Glad to hear it worked out for you, but for the majority of people I heard from that dealt with rodo had bad experiences. Lots of bait and switch and other garbage. Pretty much the same reason why you wouldn't want to go to a dealership yourself.
If you're looking for no hassle no games stick to the regular leasing companies. That said, if you do research and dont mind spending time on it -it doesn't hurt to try with Rodo too. See if you find what you want and see if you can actually get it.

I got 2 cars from honker (3 years ago) and had a very good experience as well.

Don’t know if as RODO their business model/service is now different (as someone hinted to upthread)

They were losing it as they went on, even under honker.
I actually leased from honker and experienced some difficulties along the way. I did end up getting a solid deal. I think I wrote about it here a while back.
