it’s prob a copy, paste job so not really sure how that can be proved. The difference is higher monthly payment, longer lease term and lower monthly mileage 😊
Is there a paper trail (or phone recordings) of your correspondence with the guy since September (text / email etc.)? What about since your initial dealing with them?

Make a cheshbon of how much extra you will pay over the course of the lease, including all taxes and fees vs the original agreement. Ask him for a check upfront for that amount. Explain that this is the least he can do under these circumstances, and that if he refuses, you will take any and all legal action allowed by law and halacha.

I have all my phone calls recorded with Callx. Never used them but it's something good to have.

I had a similar story with a leasing company out of Lakewood.

They were being very nice and all. They made lots of promises. At the last minute I realized they changed the terms without telling me. When I pointed it out to them, they told me the vehicle was already on the way, being delivered an it's too late. I told them I would not accept delivery because they changed the terms. They threatened to take to Beis Din if I backed out.

I did not accept the delivery. Until car is delivered you are legally not bound. They did not take me to Beis Din because they would have lost.

Unfortunately, not all frum businesses are honest. And when they aren't, things get very sticky. Bring that you can't go to court, they know customer has very little leverage.

I think I may have used the same dishonest company in lakewood. Do you mind sharing the name?

Yes, but not as much as other cars since it's $25 a range mile and I ioniq doesn't have a 200 mile range

Make sure the deal is *before* the state rebate.
Sometimes they include the rebate in the price.

To keep it simple... how many gallons of gas can it take and how many miles can be driven on gas alone after all the electric is used up?

If you're looking at a hybrid ioniq as opposed to EV, the NJ rebate is *much* less (if not 0)

Plug-in is $725. Hybrid is $0.

Hybrid can mean it has a plug in. So if it's called Hybrid and it only runs on gas with no plug in, you get $0, but if it's a Hybrid meaning gas and 29 miles plug in, that's $725 ($25 a mile).

I'm not sure what your saying. There's an Ioniq Hybrid, Ioniq Plug-in Hybrid, and an Ioniq EV.

How does the NJ incentive for EV work, is it a tax credit or an actual rebate?

Time sensitive question:

A dealer is offering me a really great deal on the Ioniq and assures me that it does not include the $4,250 from the state. That money will go to me, they said.

Is it possible that they included the rebate in the quoted price, and the money will go to them?
Will I be able to see this detail in the contract? How can I make sure that the money will go to me and not the dealership?

I am going down soon, so I'll appreciate a quick response.

Any way for me to confirm that they are not getting the rebate? Not just have proof that they lied (which might, or might not get my money back).
