My lease is over soon. How do I see if the buyback is a good value?
New lease prices are crazy now and I heard the used car market is still inflated. So I'm trying to see if it's a good idea to buy and flip or buy and hold for a few months and then flip.

My advice to anyone asking about specific brokers: use someone you know and trust

looking into the CHEVROLET TRAVERSE LS 1LS as there is a good deal on it. Was originally thinking of a minivan but this is much cheaper... is this a good car in general? Is it an ok substitute instead of a minivan?

I've seen people with long lasting ones and happy with it.
Check the fuel efficiency.
If it's a substitute for a minivan... What do you want the back row of seats for? How much trunk space do you want?

I don't know about the Traverse specifically, but generally SUVs this size aren't gonna give you the same kind of trunk space as a minivan when you have the 3rd row up, and generally the third row is not as comfortable as a minivan (even if it has the same number of inches of legroom as minivan, the seats are usually much lower to the ground because it just doesn't have the same interior height). Might not be an issue for you but definitely something to look out for when you test drive.

im thinking of having 2 kids in the 3rd row and folding one seat in the 3rd row for extra trunk space.. is that a good idea?

I remember fondly my $199 Grand Caravan (10k) lease - think it was ~2016-18. When it was time to find a new lease we just couldn't find anything at a worthwhile price point so we bought a used Sedona instead.

What year Sedona? You have it since 2018? Happy with it- comfort/features and more importantly, quality? Thanks

2015 I think. Yes. So far so good. Comfort/features were known before we got it, so as expected there. The Grand Caravan lease spoiled us a bit though, as it had some things we had to forego with this Sedona (push button liftgate, heated mirrors, remote start, etc. - all likely available in some form on Sedona, just not the car we bought). Haven't had any issues I can recall with performance. Repair costs are supposedly higher than Sienna/Odyssey, but I haven't seen any crazy bills on minor maintenance/repairs yet. Biggest issue we've had is the sliding doors, which don't auto close properly/fully. We either drive with it like that (it's not unsafe, just a nuisance) or make sure to manually push it all the way closed - been too lazy to get it properly looked at.
