Why not auto lenders go or carvana? Everyone i've spoken to had great experiences with them (myself included). When i tried dealing with a broker it always came with a catch and them trying to get the rock bottom prices.

None of these will buy a Honda financial lease. Try Rodo or a dealer

Why wouldn’t they? They’re buying it from you not HFS. Plus your paying tax which will eat into any profit you’d be making.

They said Honda doesn't sell leases to third parties anymore. Is that not true?

It’s true but dealers can still buy them out and some 3rd parties such as Rodo process it through a friendly dealer.

Do you have ability to buyout direct from captive bank?

If yes which ones?

My sister has a Chrysler Pacifica with Ally Bank, ALGO says they can't buy it from her since the lease ends in less than 90 days. Does that mean she is stuck with either giving it back or extending the lease, or is it just ALGO who can't do it in that time frame?
I believe the lease is up in the beginning of June

She can still buy it out.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Algo was ready to by my lease with ally within 90 days. The problem with ally though is that they have different buyout prices for dealers (in my case 10k more) which is usually more than what the dealers will pay for the car.

Is it an idea to buy it out yourself, and then sell it, or it's not worth it?

At least in NY State, when you buy your car at the end of your lease you pay sales tax on the purchase, which is included in the quoted buyout price from your leasing company. If a dealer buys the car, they are not required to pay sales tax so that is why the "dealer buyout" is a lower number. Given the high used car sales prices, you can probably still make money buying your car and selling it, but you are required to pay the sales tax. Most leasing companies stopped allowing you to flip your lease to non-brand dealers and otherwise also limit who can buy it out since they want to control the positive equity value in almost all cars coming off lease.

I'm thinking of buying the nissan leaf and taking advantage of the $7500 tax credit that comes with it (I will owe a lot money this year bh so that should be covered). Main issue I have with the car is it seems to have an old charging port that doesn't work with most charging stations.
Is anyone familiar with this and whether or not it is an issue?

It is a pretty serious issue for DC fast charging. The standard in the US is effectively CCS (or Tesla), and almost all new EVs use CCS except for Nissan and maybe some other Japanese. CHAdeMO chargers are already being phased out, so even if it's not a major issue right now it will become a bigger issue.

If you expect to only use it local  and never need a public charger it won't make a difference.
