HFS you can do 2 extensions of max 6 months each, and you have to pay additional tax upfront

they let us do 1 year in one shot.

PSA, even after they confirm the extension over the phone there is a form that needs to be filled out and faxed back. I only noticed it on our online portal 2 days before the end of the original lease.

Yes, I just extended my Acura (I believe same applies to Honda) I extended 1 year, same price, taxes due upfront and need to fill out form and send back. Another thing to note, if you have a damage waiver (also applies to some warranties) they may be void after original lease term ends.

it does reduce buying price, but less than the amount you actually paid towards the lease
