amex dispute question
« on: June 19, 2013, 08:10:59 AM »
After the whole fiasco with living Social and AJ Madison I disputed with amex 62.50 of the charge from living Social. Today I got this SM. Is this normal operating procedure?

Does anyone know if I'll be able to dispute a charge after the card was already closed?

Is there a specific amount you can dispute without them opening an investigation?
I've once disputed $15 and was instantly credited and the dispute was closed, they didn't even bother looking into it.
I just have some small charges that I specifically don't want to call the company about and would rather dispute. It's a $26 x2

Any past experience here?

I've done disputes in the range of $25 that were also closed immediately.

You not wanting to call the company is not a reason to dispute a charge

they over charged me, and don't deserve the money. What's the difference if I contact them or dispute??

They get bad ratings but as you said they overcharged you so you have the right to dispute and not have to hassle with the company.
