Time for Mile/point transfers
« on: July 06, 2008, 05:05:09 PM »
Does anyone know how long it takes to transfer Starwood points to an airline mileage program? And how about AMEX MR points?

And does the MR account have to be in the same name as the airline mileage account?

TIA

Starwood points to an airline can take up to 30 days and Amex points to an airline is instantly and as far as I know at least with continental it does not have to be in the same name

Thanks Levi.

I know starwood is usually much faster than that though, just not sure how quick.

Trying to book some tix but worried by time the miles are in the account the seats will be gone.

I might need to get some MR points thru you....

It all depends on the airline.
A starwood-AA transfer will happen much faster than a LAN transfer.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.
