Yes. This is why my entire office and I have been using it for the last 3+ years.

You missed the actual feature that sets it apart from other note taking apps just like it.

Is it a resource hog?

LOL- since you asked...

Best feature (which is what sold me on the software) is OCR. Otherwise, we would all still be using the notes feature of Exchange, since it is built into Outlook and syncs with the cloud as well.

But with Evernote, You can take a picture of a sign from your phone, then search text that appears in the sign later. I use this whenever there is a posted schedule (train times, zmanim for shul, etc), and I just snap a pic with my phone.

Then, from my office computer, I can type in a word that I know appears on the side, and Evernote will find all notes, pictures, etc, that have this word in them. PRICELESS!

No, it is not a resource hog at all, Asher. In fact, aside from syncing notes after you change something, it doesn't really do much in the background at all.

Any DDFers big Evernote users? How does it compare to Onenote?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

I used to use it for my todo list, but it got too slow and klutzy. Now I use it as a filing cabinet (though it could probably use some organization :) ), and I use Wunderlist for todo lists.

Care to elaborate on Wunderlist?
What's the benefit of using it for to-do lists over the million other similar apps?

Ease of use and functions.  I have used many and this is definitely my favorite. Try it and you'll see

Well I haven't tried all million of them, but I like it because it's lightweight and simple. Easy to keep multiple lists for different projects, tasks can have due dates (I try not to overdo that) and you can see what's due today from across all lists.

Another thing I really like is the ability to "star" tasks - I'll star everything I want to do today, and then the Starred view shows me all those tasks from across all lists.

It has an Inbox - which is things that need to be sorted, and you can add tasks to it by emailing them to me@wunderlist.com from your email address.

It also handles recurring tasks very nicely.

Other features it has: subtasks (I basically only use it to keep track of info that I'll only need to see when I'm actually working on the task)

Sharing, which I haven't really used since I'm just using the app for myself.

Reminders: which I stopped using b/c they got on my nerves, but if there was ever something time sensitive I'd use it.

Oh, and the interface is very nice looking, which, while not essential, is a definite perk.

Anyone know if there's a keyboard shortcut to move the current note to another notebook?
