True, it's the same with any "authentic" food. Think New York pizza in Israel. While it doesn't necessarily taste like it comes from the states, it's more American tasting than other pizza (I guess).

Also, it's hard to define authentic when food from around a country can be different. Both restaurants can be authentic for different parts of Mexico for all I know, and people from those places will say the one from their city is authentic and the other one isn't.

Either way, both are good Mexican kosher restaurants, a lot better than some alternatives I've seen in NYC.

Haven't stayed in either specific room type, but having stayed at both hotels, I would always prefer the Century Plaza over the Andaz.  The Andaz was completely underwhelming in almost all respects, but I guess YMMV with respect to these room categories.

Also stayed in a regular room at HRCC and was really happy there.

Will post pics later. It was definitely nice,  but as you wrote somewhere - it is a refurbished old Hyatt. Prepare to pay 33 per day for parking, though

I stayed in a suite at the HRCC, the penthouses  on the top floor were ok not the best, but when I changed for Shabbos to the 6th floor it was really really nice, huge bedroom 2 bathrooms and big living / dining room.

Just remembered that i actually have a suite booked at the Andaz in May. I'm sure your trip is before then, but if not, i'll let you know (i'll let people know either way then).
