Wouldn't it be geneiva to sneak onto a shuttle without a reservation if you know they care? Anyway, I didn't think the Uber pick up was so bad.

If you're landing in terminal 1 or 7/8, it's a 5 min walk to the uber pickup lot. If you don't have luggage, it's quicker to walk than to take the shuttle. When you are going to the airport, they allow uber to take you to your terminal.

Really not a big deal unless you're traveling with kids and a pain to get on the shuttle. Absolutely no reason to go to a hotel and call an Uber, unless you're trying to kill time

we have 10 people planning to get 2 day tix for jan 21-22, anyone else interested and we can try to get a group rate?

just fyi, seems best plan to buy Disneyland tix is target.com with redcard (5% off), unless someone else is going jan 21-22 and could buy group tix through a nonprofit.

When traveling with kids and multiple suitcases it’s a real pain. No choice but to do Uber black.
Btw ordering a car or suv in advance which can wait for you outside the terminal can be cheaper and more convenient then Uber black.

there are arrangements that can be made with Shilo's and Pats for friday night

plus Chabad of Sola (in the pico area ) has a friday night meal every week for a small fee

and most shuls have nice kidushim on Shabbos

anything like this still possible for this friday night? would love to find a place to eat other than Chabad (a little far for us).

Thanks for the offer . we are staying at the avalon (basic rooms/no place to have a shabbos meal) so we were looking for paid options, dont want to inconvenience anyone and anyway want the comfort of our family. if no good paid options we will get lieders and rent a table at the hotel outdoor area (they said they will try to figure it out).

"Confort" is staying with a family alone in a hotel for a meal? Seems uncomfortable to me. Many people in Pico are very welcoming and have guests all the time.

Though I agree with you, I once stayed at the residence inn by pico, and they have a mini kitchen, and we were more than comfortable

on our terms, with the food we choose. my sons are picky eaters and not very social, and we will be tired and want to go to sleep early friday night, after going to the happy minyan and coming back late. much harder with an invite.

All you had to say was that you were going to the Happy Minyan. They take so long that most people will be done with their Meals by the time they finish. Lol

if im zoche to be in LA/Pico for shabbos, i can't miss that minyan (my family all goes somewhere else . one of the most enjoyable musical minyanim in the us...
