LAX is opening a new remote terminal to TBIT, connected via a tunnel. From the renderings, it looks really nice. Would probably be annoying for people waiting in lounges, however.

Correct and probably. They're planning on having a dedicated baggage claim for that terminal though where you don't have to go to the main TBIT terminal for baggage claim, rather it'll be near the parking garages. Should be really nice either way. Too bad it's just for international flights though.

Really LA needs a slighly bigger secondary airport. I don't think Long Beach and Burbank cut it.

Curious how it would work to move most short halls and regional flights to a different airport and keep long hauls and international at LAX. NYC does it with LGA and a couple of airlines do it it MDW.

It'll never happen. LAX is the #1 busiest airport in the country for arriving and departing passengers. With no room to make a new airport anywhere near anything touristy, no one would fly to it if they tried. LGB and BUR are way too small to become what LGA is to NYC. ONT is too far from everything.

Interesting. I was thinking more on the west end of the airport, but it sounds like that's where the hangars are.

Right. They could do a lot of construction, move the hangers to a new area further west and install new terminals there, but that would cost more than the current people mover project that's going on now.

In general, for all of those asking for food options, especially in a non central hotel, postmates is a must.
Psy is amazing.
Paprika is consistently a very solid option. Good food, very generous portions. Smallish menu, but everything is solid. Lunch or cheap dinner.
Charcoal is pricey, but has a very decent $16 lunch menu

Is there anywhere even open past midnight?

On Sat. Night u have a few places , but during the week 11pm is usually the latest.

Brunch menu is on website. Lots of nice options. All you can eat! I would go to Dr.Sandwich over Taeem,but Taeem is good.

Great list! Agree on bibi's. Taeem and Dr sandwich are two different animals in my opinion. Both good.

All true. But Burbank is a fantastic airport, especially if you are in the valley or La Brea, if they happen to have a flight where you're going. And JSX is next level, there's nothing like arriving at the airport 5 minutes before your flight and still having time for a cup of coffee.

Totally agreed, BUR is good for VV or La Brea, but since most tourists want to go to Pico and BUR is usually more expensive to fly to/from, it's not anything close to what LGA is in NYC.
