last night i went to the "26 by Shiloh's" the new dairy place, and i really enjoyed it, very different from all the other dairy places (kicks milk and honey in @#$*&) finally had a Risotto and awesome cheese cake

yep its on pico, and the level of the food its more of fine dining i would guess then the other places, allot of unique dishes including a gefilta fish pizza

So if 3 nights in LA with wife, I should do Fish Grill, Tierra Sur and this new milchig place??? Gefilta fish with pizza souds like something you would get on an airline with peas and carrots.

I only went to the cow jumped over the moon when it was a small place in the parking lot and it was for lunch so..... for me it TCJOTM was ok but they did not have this kind of selection.

Not sure how much you want to spend but I am going next week and I found a website OMG.travel. They own apts in LA and a hand full of them are in Hancock Park(S Detroit st) mine is in the 400 block,1.5 blocks from YI and Bais Naphtoli. Also loads of food places. Although they advertise cheaper prices the luxury apts are fully equipped and range from 109-149 for a 1-3 bedroom. For what you get a real bargain especially when you compare to the prices of the hotels in BH and Pico. Check them out if you were planing on paying cash.

My wife and I would like to travel to LA in 2 weeks for 4 days, and I'm looking for a flight either in business or in coach. If there are any nice business classes between NY and LA then I'll fly business, otherwise I'll fly coach. I have points with Continental, AA, Delta and BA, any ideas? In addition I'm looking for a nice SPG hotel, and some activities that are doable with an 11 month child.

If you have enough SPG points that you really want to burn - spend the weekend at the St. Regis Laguna Beach . Truly beautiful property.

Many great things in LA. Also, AA and DL both have pretty decent business class products for this route because it is a popular route for business people. If you are looking for another pay option UA and VX both have pretty nice products as well.

Restaurants are plentiful in LA from all types and we have some very nice new ones as well. Fish Grill is excellent!

St. Regis in Laguna is a great option. If you want something more in LA proper there is the SLS Hotel (very funky) in Beverly Hills.

If you give more specifics on what you're looking to do, etc. I can try to be of more help.

I usually wind up staying at the Westin or Sheraton LAX.

But W Hollywood and W Westwood look awesome.

During FFN I wouldn't miss the Andaz West Hollywood, which has a great rooftop pool with cabanas.
