You just describe millions of teenagers. What does all this have to do with the facts of the case?

Let me ask you something. Is it possible for a prostitute to be raped?

+1

You aren't even allowed to introduce evidence of the victim's promiscuity in a rape case, because it confuses the issues and also for public policy reasons so that rape victims will come forward.

I watched a little of the forensic pathologists testimony today and felt that the prosecutor did a bad job. He did not come across well and the expert made good points that he tried to combat but couldn't

prosecutors are generally not good at cross-examination. Or so says the dersh.
because they don't do enough of it.
defense attorneys are not good at investigation. or so says the dersh.

Just put a death to Zimmerman sign on your door and you should be fine.

Funny there were no riots after OJ walked free. And everyone knew he was guilty, far more than with this case.

I'm confused. If they got permission to show the toxicology report showing THC in his blood how come that hasn't been brought by the defense yet?

Are they waiting for closing arguments?

I would have thought they would bring a few medical experts to testify about it.
Unless they were afraid that the experts would be forced to admit under cross that it may very well not have had any effect on him in which case it would make sense to just incorporate it into closing arguments.

Well, Trayvon was Obama's son.

I don't know if this is the answer to this, but there is a bunch of stuff that they are also admitting into evidence that the jury will just look at but there is no testimony connected to it so it will never be in open court. Like the records of all the break ins that had been happening in the area. They only brought in that one lady yesterday because her story was so horrific.

That's what I figured but I don't get why they wouldn't want to play it up in court...

Possibly for relevance reasons they are being allowed to introduce it into evidence but can't call witnesses since it's not definite that there's a connection?

I'm not aware of a rule like that, but hey, I'm barely aware of the hearsay rule. (although, I did totally get a 149/200 on the practice MBE this week)

Small amounts of THC in his blood might actually show he was not smoking recently. Also there are studies that show you are less aggressive when high.
