at this point it looks like Zimmerman would have been MUCH safer and better off if he would off gotten 6 months jail and 4 years probation. Then he wouldn't have to fear for the rest of his like.
Getting him completely free is only causing him problems and no-sleep nights.

Would've likely been murdered in jail, and probably not allowed to carry a gun anymore if he somehow made it out alive.

I agree. But that was basically impossible, considering the punishments for murder and manslaughter. (I guess they could be lenient enough in FL though.)

He'll probably qualify for some form of witness protection/new identity

I didn't see this kind of outrage from above-mentioned news outlets when OJ Simpson or Lemrick Nelson were set free. Were you outraged?

Were you responding to my comment? I added that "assuming" in to account for the charges that the all white jury was racist. I didn't mean to imply that black jurors would have been.
