Just an interesting data point (although I don't think it's typical).
My nursery tuition in NY this year: 12K+
My nursery tuition in yyz next year: 4.5K+

But in NY you can say that you don't have any money left after your luxury car, and get a discount

Lol. For some of the things they teach I might rather pay 12k.

I remember talking to my Israeli cousin once who was complaining to me how much her kids private school in Israel was....
About 2k a year. Made me laugh.

To clarify- you would rather pay NY prices just because of what the Israeli yeshiva/bais Yaakov teach?  I am just the opposite. I wish there were yeshivas in america like the yeshivas here. I'd pay 12k for my son to be in a yeshiva like israel. You're right they might be a little wild, but the amount of knowledge a ten year old knows here is like a 30 year old in america.

I agree 100%.

First of all I mentioned the wild part for those that will bring it up. I know plentttty of kids here that are very knowledgable while still being a mench. I think it's mainly because of how the parents are being michanech them.

Second of all I know plenttttty of kids in America who don't know a thing cuz of the messed up school systems and are vilda chayos.

I would take my chances and take the former.

first of all your forgetting to mention that have no idea how to add 3+3. And yes they really can't. Real private schools here where they are solid israli smart and then they get English in the afternoon is like 20k. Your comparing a genius israeli who knows every trupe in the medrash on migilas aicha but has no idea when hes 20 how to apply that knowledge to real life.
If you have any questions please search and then ask. PM me for detailed help.
