Hyatt is great for the signup/retention but you earn more points on UR cards for spending.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Agreed. I wonder however, if the 1 free night every anniversary of the Hyatt CC would make up for the annual fee of $75

Of course it does.

Priority Club is only a $49 annual fee, and they too offer an annual free night, not limited to the lower categories only, I might add. Why isn't Priority Club a clear winner over Hyatt?

Am I missing something here?

Because their points aren't worth half as much as Hyatt.
And their aspirational hotels are weak. Most Intercontinentals are a joke. And if you try hard enough you can get em for free...

question is he looking for free decently nice place to stay or a place where he can post that each point was worth $0.30.

Not so sure about that, I'm looking at the InterContinental directory here http://www.ihg.com/intercontinental/hotels/gb/en/global/hotel-directory and I actually like what I see, especially hotels like the Venetian in LV and some other great hotels

But I guess, at the end of the day Hyatt requires only 22k points for even their highest category hotels which makes them a greater value in my eyes

I don't think Vegas hotels are ever a good deal on points.
Looks like you can readily get $149 rooms there versus burning 50K points.

Plus IHG has capacity controls vs. none with the other major programs.

Thanks for the quick reply Dan, that really settles it for me, I'm goona join Hyatt as my secondary hotel rewards card for wherever and whenever SPG isn't doing it for me, but just out of curiosity Dan, do we agree that SPG is still the best hotel rewards program to hold on to?

SPG and Hyatt are the best.
Which is better depends on many factors.

I am hearing online that there is a Priority Club offer for 80k bonus points. Chase has it at 60,000 right now, does anyone know where I can get the 80k offer or if I should just signup for it regardless and PUTPAC to get chase to match the 80k?

Thanks

Cool. I just signed up for the PC with the video promotion gaining and extra 1,000 points for watching a 90 second video. https://selecthotel.ihg.com/ you need to get a unique code that's available, it was hard to find online and you need to sign up for IHG free membership beforehand. Officially, regardless of what offer you see after the video you will get the 80k offer with a simple call. I am going to see how it pans out. If don't get the offer I am going to follow your advice Marco Polo of SM'ing them to match the offer. Do you have any good drafts for the SM?

Thanks.
