How do I know if an ElAl award should be bookable with AA?
Is it enough that I see the flight available with Matmid?

Yes, but you can't book Elal first with AA and usually better value to use HAS/Matmid.

Thanks, I missed the part about ElAl F, so no go anyway.

Then you wonder why Business availability on ElAl is nearly non-existent, while there are plenty of F available.

True, but with AA you need to pay $41.57  + $2.50  + $25 = $69.07 and with Elal it's $348.97

348.97 - 69.07 = $279.9 difference.

And if it's in within 21 days tack on another $75, 69.07 + 75 = 144.07

348.97 - 144.07 = $204.97

So for an extra $204.97 I'd rather burn HAS/Matmid, then valuable AA miles.
