Does LX use the same plane TLV-ZRH and then ZRH-JFK? My son is flying that route now and it seems that they are not even changing the equipment. According to FlightRadar both legs will be tail number HB-JHF. Makes a ton of sense with short connection and many people continuing on anyway for baggage transfers.
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.

Report back on what happens
First try: no dice. Agent said it would be $250pp to cancel. Can't give refund on difference. She said call back in the morning when a manager is available.
I might try. If I do, will let you all know.

Haifa airport seems to have been saved from extinction.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Aren't there already flights from HFA to LCA?

There were (maybe still exist), but the airport was slated for closing due to the short runway not being able to accommodate even regional jets.

This news and land swap saves the airport and actually gives it a little more functionality (and better options for Kohanim).

Any preference between these two airlines for JFK-TLV?
Both same price.
Just curious which is better?
Ukraine int'l or  Aeroflot
Both allow 2 bags in economy I believe.
Thanks

Aeroflot flies some widebodies ex-TLV and is a decent airline (haven't flown them in economy, though my sons have).

SVO is a modern airport IME.

I have no experience with Ukraine Int'l or KBP airport.

Ukraine Intl also flies wide bodies to TLV on some flights and KBP is a pretty modern airport as well.

Aeroflot.
I'm not sure what I would rather, but why do you say Aeroflot?

It's for my son. So luggage allowance, safety and in-flight entertainment are the biggest concerns. He always flew Turkish but the flight is $300 more

Know many who have flown both and there are many reviews online of both as well.
