Looks like they fly F on random dates and restart daily F next March.

Could someone explain the value proposition of F on a 3-4 hour flight when J is decent.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

F lounge.
No surcharge for connecting in F vs J.
EK J has middle seats.

And they only fly now from TLV in the afternoon which means no connection to the US without overnight

I was asking about TLV-DXB which is 3-4 hours vs TLV-LHR which is 6-7 hours IINM.

If you're flying JFK-DXB//TLV on an F award, you don't save miles for the last leg being in J.

Ok. I doubt I would be doing that if my destination is TLV, except if they allow a stopover in DXB, then it would make sense to stop in TLV on the way back. I still don't see the benefit of F for such a short flight.

Stopovers are allowed on OW or RT and that's the obvious use case.

On Emirates issued awards only, or also on other awards (JAL, Alaska, Qantas) on Emirates metal?

Maybe it's time to finally get my call for a 5th freedom Emirates TLV-JFK flight answered.

JAL and Alaska for EK F is BDE.
5th freedom from TLV is never happening.

I'm amazed that they are actually marketing first class revenue tickets

I'm sure there are CEOs and entertainers with travel budgets that won't blink an eye at that.

I will not be surprised if it will always be filled by revenue passengers.

The privacy means a lot to them. Which is the only thing I can think about as a value proposition for F for a short hop.

LX A330/340
Not easy getting a seat since they don't sell them officially but you can upgrade at the airport and if you are booked with miles in F Ex-ZRH you can try to push them to seat you in the F section. I think you can also get them for free if you are a HON member booked in J.
In any case you only get the seat, the service is still J.

Many people fly revenue first to onward destinations so your not saving if first leg is in J, u dont think it will be very long before they add a 2nd flight with better connection options for day flights
