Looks like United adjusted their flight times from Chicago to TLV for the winter.

It used to be around 6pm which made Saturday nights flight not possible, but they now adjusted it back to around 9pm which is makes this flight realistic.

I'm not sure if this was covered before or when this decision was made, but AC YUL-TLV was extended twice weekly until January 9. It was previously scheduled to pause for the winter in late October/early November. Returns for the summer twice weekly April 27, thrice weekly June 3.

they depart 12:50am, and arrive 5:40am or earlier
the crazy thing is that Terminal 8 TSA only opens at 6am so they are not allowing to deplane and have everyone seated.
                - Pilot even announced that another bigger plane just landed, so when they open the doors ''be organized and ready to run to Costumes''


and it sounds like they do this daily!  couldn't they get a slot in T4? (jet blue has a slot for night arrivals in T4)

this is something ppl should consider when choosing American - good part is that luggage was ready

Flew this flight a few months ago, you mean cbp.

Anyway I think there was a sign for mobile passport but there were no lines yet so we just went the regular way.

A lot of the pax were not us, probably depends on the day

discussed elsewhere - IIUC JFK customs doesn't open till 6, same at LAX, flight always comes in early and you sit. only Newark figured out a deal. it's a union or whateverthing. nothing to do with the airline.

That's right for LAX, not for JFK
I often take the LY flight which lands right before 5am, and immigration/ customs opens then.

That's JFK Terminal 4. For some reason T8 only opens @ 6.00 AM.
