Is there even a difference between F and J on this route? I'm flying Turkish in J and I don't think there even is F?

Few options exist.
Basically, RJ, or Qatar. Etihad won't work from TLV

It's a good J though
And you might get lucky and get the J long haul product on TLV-IST as well.

And if I want it to all be one ticket, my first step has to be TLV-AMM, correct?

yup, and that's available in J more than Y.

Chk http://seatguru.com/ , but if i remember correctly, it's the A330 which has the nice product. Lie flat, tons of leg room, etc.
Two of the 3 flights we've taken on this route had this product, and the other just had recliner seats.

I did actually check seat guru, but I wasn't sure what the good product was. According to our mileageplus itin, from TLV-IST , IST-MLE, MLE-IST are all A330 (yay!) , the last leg, IST - TLV is an A321. But if the A330 is the good product for this route I am really stoked!!!

ETA: is the type of aircraft written on the itin subject to change?

Where's a good place for a family (with young kids) to go on vacation for a coupla days in August, ex-TLV? Somewhere in Europe, I presume, but I'd welcome some suggestions, as the August weather seems to be oppressive in many of the usual go-to places. Thanks!

I'm not great w/ Europe, but Vienna and train rides from there should be a good balance for kids/parents/kosher/distance
