right, but you can still put it on the same ticket with the low mileage (i think that was the point of his question)
But it would still be two separate awards, no?

On AA via connections. Why is that complicated? Why shouldn't it work as long as you follow the timing rules (RT or one-way)

Needs to be a published routing.
Etihad doesn't (appear to) publish routings from Israel (although Qatar does).

He must have called it in. Wouldn't that work?

All Etihad flights have to be called in, so that wouldn't help. They typically have a strong computer system that won't allow these to be ticketed.

Etihad is obviously in-line using AA from TLV to Asia or South Pacific. Why would ticketing through AA be affected by Etihad's anti-Israel rules as long as the Etihad flight doesn't land in TLV?
(I would hate to hog the thread due to my ignorance. Please direct me to a thread if there is one already).

The airline has to publish a routing from a city for AA to (officially ticket it). It's one of their unique rules.

Ah haaaa. Thanx! I see, though its not totally clear if that applies in this situation considering that the flight we're referring to is from KUL-AUH-AMM then to TLV.
But taking your word for if... so the easiest way to do this would be to:
1) avoid AUH
2) travel via AUH but use Malaysia Airlines (@ your own risk)
3) Just knock TLV off the AA itinerary & use 4.5k Avios for that leg
That right?

Possible that moish is somehow booking the itinerary w/o TLV and then adding it in later using his "eyelashes"?? :-*
(moish you can help us out here :'( )

I'm not stam yenting, I'm looking into Asia 2 for the summer coming from TLV. BTW

Malaysia likely doesn't fly to AUH, chk.
RJ is the quickest way, and they have decent J availability.

I flew from tlv to phl on us air in economy
I need to change my return flight date at the last minute.
Anyone know the cost to change the ticket.
Does it matter that one ticket was bought on us air site and the other on aa site but both are on same plane.

If you're talking about a RT revenue ticket, it'll depend what fare class you're booked in and what fare class you switch to (in addition to any change fees)
