I just did an A3 mileage run yesterday. But if you take out my second and third segments (and only keep my first and last segments), you have a perfect day trip to Athens - leave TLV at 6:00 and arrive in ATH at 8:10 AM; leave ATH at 10:30 PM and arrive in TLV at 12:30 AM. Schedule only works out certain days of the week.
I've been looking at that. On Thursdays in the February only $156 IIRC. Thanks!

It's so hard to route TLV-PVG (or anywhere far east) using AA... The layovers in AMM and DXB are ridiculous. Can't wait for CX to start flying TLV-HKG. Hopefully there will be availability. /endrant

The times. AMM I have no desire to visit, but I wouldn't mind a day in DXB if I wasn't trying to make such a short trip to PVG. Each way ends up taking like 3 whole days.

Does RJ have any flights to DXB before the 4:30pm?

E: Seems like the 4:30 is the shortest connection.

Why are you routing through DXB? That will require an additional stop in HKG. You are better off routing AUH-PVG.

Seems like CX/KA have better availability, but I would take that if I could find it.

not that would work without an overnight. but you can take TLV-AMM-AUH-PVG with around 3 hrs by each stopover

Did you try searching AMM-AUH on RJ or EY and AUH-PVG on EY?

Not sure what I was thinking that I dismissed AUH-PVG so fast. Got so set on taking CX out of DXB, and I didn't look back.

Looks like I should be able to make something work.  ;D

CX J a330 is nicer than EY J a330, but the extra stop and bad timing can be a huge factor.

There will be more opportunities for CX J. Like I said, I'm really looking forward to the TLV-HKG route, that will make visiting Hong Kong very nice, assuming they will have availability.

why do they think that starting with introductory pricing that's higher then the competitor is a good idea?

Anyone have experience with TLV-AMM route? If I book two J awards now and that's all the available space, is there a chance of two more J showing up, or is that flight usually limited to a specific capacity?

In general, RJ doesn't release more than 1 or 2 seats on that route and they don't release more seats closer in.
