From what I've seen on FT, they switch equipment often, and w/o warning, so you may still get lucky.

Are there specific planes on TK that have real J flying out of TLV, to either IST, or SAW ?
TLV-IST is such a short flight, how much of a difference does it make? the J seat on their A321 is very decent, much better than the European airlines

The 737 I was on business was 2-2 configuration, economy is 3-3.

TK Actually has a different J seat then the Y ones on their A321, the other airlines have the same exact seat for J and Y, with just blocked middle

I'm looking more into doing this. There's a few days in January/February that Aegean has relatively cheap flights. Anyone interested in going with me on Thursday February 4th? $200 RT, leave at 6 AM get back a bit after midnight (on ground for 12:20)?
BUMP. Anyone? (I think price is now about $230)

What's the point? Unless you need a visa renewal.

To see (parts of) Athens
1) it's cold
2) you'd be rushing, best to do it somewhat properly
3) $230 isn't chump change, and w/ the LY mileage sale, the price would be even lower

So... you're not coming?
I don't feel like I have the time to do it properly for a few more years, and wouldn't mind going again. I can do different things now by myself than I can do with a wife and kids.
Forgot about the LY sale extension, I'll look into those dates too, thanks for the reminder.

Could be old story -

I saw that LY is outsourcing some of its JFK and BOS routes to Spanish charter Privilege Style's 777.

Anybody has experience of these planes? Couldn't get any real color online. Are these planes beter/ even worst than LY?

BOS is using the 767 I believe. Shell seats are definitely a small upgrade

That's interesting and could provide a good jumping off point to MLE or Asia since except for Turkish, a lot of other airlines have hubs thru Arab countries that don't fly from TLV.
