Sounds like I could be nice, but maybe super expensive?
Zrh? Flying on Star alliance I'm guessing and any good places to stay on points?
Park Hyatt Zurich, great value for free night cert. My room they gave me when I stayed was over $2000

Any suggestions on a fun 1-3 day trip ex TLV relatively easy on points (including hotel)?
What do you mean "fun"?
Seeing or doing?

Slight issue, Zurich is 2-3 hour train ride from the slopes.

Yes, ~$300 RT
Terrible value for this trip. May as well fly Y for a couple hours and spend less then that with zero miles

Yeah I'd rather not pay YQ or just pay for Y. Ideally I'd be fine flying Y on such a short trip if the taxes are low enough. 2-3 hour train ride sounds like t would kill PHZ. I'll check Sheraton in Davos.
I'm fine either seeing or doing. Seeing is easier as were plus 2 toddlers, but doing isn't out of the question...

Unless there's enough to do around the PHZ just to see without skiing- I'll read up on some TRs

BUD sounds perfect for you.
Short flight, one of the cheapest places to fly to, luxury hotels are not expensive (check out the boscolo there), from the cheapest destinations in europe, beautiful city, enough but not too much to see in 1-3 days, kosher food...

As in no kosher food pretty much. Much rather do Vienna for 2-3 days. Much to see. Many hotels. A lot of Kosher food.

There is more then one kosher restaurant, its for 1-3 days he doesn't need a 13th ave

No need for a 13th ave but at least restaurants aren't far in addition to having a lot to do there. Budapest is nice but I am always done with all the good stuff in any given day and then have to shlep across town to go grab a bite.

Also - I think there are two places. Are you aware of any others?

I seems to recall at least 3 but places are always opening and closing so dunno about nowadays. Anytime you go anywhere in the world that's not the tristate area and has limited eateries you need to work out your day smartly with food, if he wants to not have a rushed day you hang out locally until lunch and then go out for the rest of the day and be back for supper
