Any idea why they would put it on the MUC route over FRA?

Seems they are growing their MUC hub, moving over some of the a380s from FRA to there.

If I book two separate round trips - for example JFK-CDG and CDG-TLV, is there a way to have bags checked all the way through if the CDG-TLV rt is on elal and the JFK-CDG rt is on air france?
It looks like the itinerary is cheaper when booking two round trips instead of one with a stopover in each direction.
TIA

I am flying business class from tlv to madrid with long night stopover and then business to Zurich, both flights on Iberia.  Will I get lounge access in tel aviv and Madrid?  Which lounge will I be able to use in both airports?

Iberia uses the Dan lounge in tlv, iinm.
They have their own lounges in Madrid.

Don't know about Madrid, but you will be able to access the Dan Lounge in Tel Aviv.  Just keep your expectations low.

In Madrid  you'll get the Iberia lounge which is really nice. (Nice clean showers too)

I don't recall seeing a worse excuse for a lounge than the Dan lounges at TLV. Reflects pretty badly on the Dan brand.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I guess you haven't been many places besides NY and TLV. Not every lounge has showers and bling. More often than not they are more or less the same as the Dan.

You haven't traveled to many different places then.

Dan lounge is pretty standard for a PP/Contract lounge, as a plus they have kosher food

The one thing that really irks me with the Dan Lounges is the fact that they hide their liquor.  You have to specifically go to the front desk and ask for it -- and it's barely mid-shelf stuff!

Maybe that was because it was hidden
