Everyone around SA does what SA wants.
Except for Qatar
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

How likely is it that LY will ever get to use the SA airspace?
They turned to IATA and UN but I don't know if they can enforce anything

I would say extremely likely, especially once MBS fully takes over the reins.

ETA: Between hoping that LY becomes more customer service oriented, LY joining a global airline alliance, or LY flying over Saudi Arabia (and other Arab and/or Muslim countries such as Indonesia), I would say the latter is a lot more likely than any of the former.

And for other competition. Maybe finally SQ into TLV (though IINM their problem is more with Indonesia and possibly Malaysia).

Many SQ Crew are Malay - and Malaysian passports bear the inscription: "This passport is valid for all countries except Israel" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysian_passport

See this flight route
הוא הדבר אשר דיברתי.

Singapore is pragmatic. And similar to what was stated about Oman vis-a-vis KSA, Singapore doesn't while maintaining its position and global neutrality, doesn't start up with Malaysia or Indonesia which are several orders of magnitude its size, and practically engulf it.

"Israel’s Tourism Minister on Thursday called the maiden Air India flight a diplomatic achievement and said he has been in negotiations to open similar flights with Singapore Airlines and a carrier from the Philippines, which he did not name.

Singapore Airlines told Reuters it is not currently considering services to Israel."

Any chance on the 5th Freedom flight from NYC to TLV?

As mentioned above, SQ has a problem with Malaysia (and Indonesia), none of that is being addressed here.

I would almost say it's more likely to get QR to do that 5th Freedom flight than it is for SQ.

PSA: Flying with AI on the new route from TLV-DEL and connecting to a destination outside India?
You must have the check-in agent Book and Tag your bags to the FINAL destination as Israelis need a Visa to enter India (even "just to recheck my bag") and you won't be able to get your bag in New Delhi and recheck it for the next flight. This goes for connecting flights on AI and 9W etc.  Israeli Travel agents are trying to get a directive to the Check-in Agents in TLV 9.  Current situation is that some "sure no problem" others "I don't know how to do that"

The above is based on a few calls over the past 3 days including a passenger who spend almost 2 hours begging in DEL (luckily had a long layover) for the ground staff to find her bag and re-tag it.

Hebrew version of the article is longer.

Essentially LY is resorting to legal action, rather than trying to compete on product or service.

I acknowledge that they are at a competitive disadvantage, but rather than figure out how to get a competitive advantage where they can, while working quietly to resolve the disadvantage, they go to court.

ETA: Here's an option piece (in Hebrew) which is essentially saying what I am saying: https://www.themarker.com/consumer/tourism/1.5956766

Essentially LY is resorting to legal action, rather than trying to compete on product or service.

You serious?!?!
90% of people (especially in Y) wouldn't even consider taking a flight 2 hours longer. No "product" or "service" will make any difference here.
