LY cancelled  double daily flight to EWR from Oct .28
I would assume this is due to the 767 being taken off earlier than planned.. they would have to make up for some of these routes (Boston, Johannesburg)

Missed that..

How are they going to make up for the 767 routes? Use wet-leased planes?

Or just due to the new CEO who's such an idiot, he makes Smisek and David Maimon look good.
How can he judge lack of sales on a route (SFO) 6 months in advance of the first flight? Most flights don't start to fill until minimum 3-4 months before the flight....
Cutting TA commissions when it's no secret that they're the ones who have been pushing their product all along even when they had terrible aircraft etc...
Raising prices twice in a single month on their most valuable route, in addition to increasing change and refund fees...
Does this guy really think this will save El Al from their crisis? DL and UA exTLV are now $1000 (lowest fare), while El Al is $1089 (lowest fare). If the TAs aren't getting commissions, who exactly will be pushing their product over the competition?

I don't think $1,089 vs $1,000 is uncompetitive. There's an old saying: when you compete on price you automatically lose. The key is to offer a better (even if perceived) value proposition. For some, LY offers it no matter what, but for many it's nothing but a bad deal. That's the problem they need to overcome IMHO.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

We're not talking about lowering prices to compete (even though, in the airline industry, it's all about price matching. Look domestic US). El Al was charging $1019 in the beginning of the month. Then it went $1059, and then $1089. (Not even gonna discuss the much bigger jumps in PE. At least over there, they don't have competition. [Delta, pleeeeeease come to the rescue...?]) Usually UA and DL follow them with the price increases/decreases. This time, they didn't. But if they think they will fill the 44m hole from the last quarter by raising prices and cutting commissions and routes and additional flights (to EWR), they're mistaken. I think this CEO is one big mistake (just MHO...)

Cutting commissions was the worst move for them most agents I work with try pushing elal because of their 5% once that's gone they will have no reason to sell LY product

I find the comments about TA's pushing ELAL due to their commissions stomach churning.
I never pushed ELAL over a better competitor and in fact I got many costumers to try other airlines that offered a better price/product.
Some of my costumers used to be die hard ELAL fans and now hardly fly with them.
I will push what is best for the client, not the company!

Not sure if this belongs here as it's only a connection option ex-TLV, but still something:

I’m taking an 8:05 am flight ex-TLV on AF. When would be the earliest I could check my bags?

Same scene last Thursday right before 5pm. But I was too chicken to take a picture.

What I want to know is how to maximize my time before the flight airside. My AirFrance flight is at 8:05, and I want to daven in the shul, get breakfast, and do some work in the lounge before my flight.

LY changed departure time on November TLV-BOS from 00:05 to 00:30, with no change to arrival time, 05:15.

What is the probability I can leverage this schedule change to get El Al to refund difference in fare (dropped from $1139 to $956) or allow me to cancel and rebook?

Worked for me on Delta for a PIT-BOS 5 min reduction in blocked time.
Might have to play several hands at the HUCA roulette table.
