It's for my son. So luggage allowance, safety and in-flight entertainment are the biggest concerns. He always flew Turkish but the flight is $300 more

I'm not sure what I would rather, but why do you say Aeroflot?

Know many who have flown both and there are many reviews online of both as well.

Any preference between these two airlines for JFK-TLV?
Both same price.
Just curious which is better?
Ukraine int'l or  Aeroflot
Both allow 2 bags in economy I believe.
Thanks
Ukraine is shorter flying time, and if you get their 777 you fly on a newer aircraft

Aeroflot is one of the hardest airlines to deal with in case of IROPS. Both getting rebooked, and getting compensation.

You won't see a dime in compensation from Ukraine but they're pretty good with rebooking in case of IROPS.

Any flight cancelation.
Regular phone reps cant do it. I always put in the flight and either have the PAX go a bit early and gets its ticketed at their ticketing desk, or contact their airport office on phone- but sometimes hard to get thru to them

All of which is pretty ridiculous.
I've had PS rebook passengers on LY on the phone (like all other airlines do). I've also had that they would hold up the KBP - TLV flight when the flight from JFK was delayed if a significant percentage of the flight was continuing to TLV. SU refused to hold a flight for a few minutes and left many passengers stranded in Moscow Purim night. On top of that they denied ANY compensation, blatantly lying about bad weather in Moscow. (They were delayed 1.5 hours in NY, and according to Accuweather history, there was 0.2in of snow on that date in Moscow (and no snow before or after either).
But again, none of these are amazing....

I agree that PS is much easier to deal with, but SU is not impossible

Cheapest flights to rome are 80 each way. Ryanair often has for about 55. Let's see if they come down...
