Havent they downgraded the route from the 350-0 to the 350-9? At least on the flights I have been with them, it used to be on the 10 and now its back to the older 9. I figured they are not selling as well.
First of all it's the "1000" again in September, secondly the difference between the 2 aircraft is not too significant and shouldn't really indicate the routes success.

They had promoted the fact that they were going to fly the 1000 to Israel and then it disappeared. I figured they have been having some issues.

Any reviews on using hulyo for last minute flights.  Can you pick  seats?

You can’t pick seats (on most airlines). Otherwise everything’s smooth.

could the wide-body have been the 747 freighter?
https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/ly882
Spotted this one this week. Doesn't have the IL flag on the tail. Just has El Al printed on the front. They don't conceal this one (visible on all flight tracking sites), as apparently their agreement with the rabbonim was only about not flying passengers.

Not sure if this belongs here, in the El Al thread or one of its own...
In recent weeks, planes into TLV have been flying a new path in Israel in which they fly over Modiin/Modiin Illit and some PA territory at low altitude upon landing. It seems to be switching back and forth on different days of the week, hours of the day etc. (IINM it's based on which runway they are using for landing. TLV has 3(?) runways in a triangle shape and that can cause significant changes in path when switching runways)
https://www.kikar.co.il/324642.html
https://www.kikar.co.il/324903.html

After last week Shabbos, there seems to have been an outcry from residents who claimed they saw El Al planes flying overhead on Shabbos. El Al's CEO responded denying any flights on Shabbos and claiming the reported flights may be a confusion with codeshare flights with other airlines.
https://www.jdn.co.il/breakingnews/1176019/

This week Shabbos, I was in Modiin Illit, and it was quite a thrill to sit on the porch Shabbos afternoon plane spotting with the kids (unlike in Boro Park where we have no clue from where all those planes headed to LGA are coming from - knowing a lot about flights into TLV makes it that much more interesting. Like seeing UA from SFO and AC from YYZ [10am] etc.) Anyhow, sure enough, between 6:45pm and 7:20pm I personally watched 4 El Al marked planes with the regular El Al livery flying overhead.
I'm very well aware that El Al doesn't have any scheduled flights on Shabbos. Just curious if anyone knows more info on what these can be. Are they "ferry flights" being flown empty to TLV to operate M"S flights (which would be a serious halacha concern for a frum passenger flying M"S CMIIW)? Or does El Al lease aircraft to other airlines over the weekend? The JDN article assumes they may be flying as Sun D'or, but to the best of my knowledge, Sun D'or does not operate that many flights that would have 4 flights landing in such a short period of time.
Would love to hear if anyone knows more about what these LY aircraft flying Shabbos are all about.

https://www.jdn.co.il/breakingnews/1181447/

It just seems like they are concealing or forging a lot of flight data to the tracking sites to cover this up. For example, on the Sun D'or website one can purchase a ticket this coming shabbos from LJU to TLV. In the GDS (and on OTAs) the only one operating that route next week is 6H (Israir) on a A320. Is El Al operating those flights under the 6H flag and concealing the aircraft type to try to cover up? This past Shabbos afternoon there were about a hanful of El Al marked 737s flying overhead. NONE of them are accounted for on the arrivals page on flightradar24... Though, there are plenty of 6H flights (A320) from similar destinations to those that Sun D'or website shows.
For those not familiar, LY fleet consists of exclusively Boeing aircraft.

But according to the latest report by JDN (cited above), they confirmed many passenger flights with El Al staff, too.

IINM LY recently announced that they are exiting this business (air freight).
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Not exactly. They've supposedly already retired their 747 freightliner and got into a cooperation agreement with AirBridge to fly Liege-TLV-Moscow.

I meant it’s a good FB redemption US-TLV. I booked JFK-MXP-TLV in August for 29K+95$
Can you please help me find this? You checked on Alitalia? Looking for August 13-22

In more than a year? Oh well...
They probably chose DFW to be eligible for a grant from the IL government.

Who said they are being daily?
And who says they can't switch to PHL/JFK after a year if DFW doesn't kick off?

Here's a more detailed article in English:

I'm sure Dan will do a DDMS post soon.  I'm super happy.  Lot's of people from Denver used to take the PHL-TLV flight as it was consistently well priced and with the best stopover times.
