This would be a nice addition and also might help add some interesting flight redemptions and connections with Aer Lingus.

Only the Shanghai flight, and only temporarily

UA changed the NYC-TLV flights to the 777-300? I have a plan B award booked on UA84/85 in early December and they both changed to the 777 from the 787. Now I really need it to clear...

Did all the flights change? Or only the afternoon flights? From when to when is this change?

777 is worse in economy, and same as 787 in Business? They're not selling Premium Economy on those flights?

ETA: just got an email that we're confirmed for business on the return flight! Now hopefully on the way there, too.

Looks like DL JFK-TLV 2x daily comes back 5/21.
Has this been announced before? Is this officially a seasonal 2x now?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Looks like they can use a Heimeshe guy for that route for planning purposes.
Why wouldnt they start it 2 weeks earlier and get the Lag Baomer traffic from NYC - TLV?
Maybe they checked by the secular calender,  and this year Lag Baomer was 5/23, and they saw an increase in traffic around those days, and think it will repeat next year at the same dates?.
It's not the first time that I see they miscalculated between the Yiddish calender and secular.
I saw a similar episode a few years ago regarding Succos in a market which is used frequently by Yiden. Where they upgraded a route 2 days after Succos and therefore missed the heimeishe traffic. And us Yiden had to pay more....  Less revenue...
Another example, why wouldnt they move their flight Thursday before succos 2 hrs and get it filled with heimeishe yidden who wonna travel to EY for suucos?
They can also move the Moitzai Shabbos flight earlier and make it easier for those who can arrive in Isreal late before Zman and let's say make it just enough time to get from Brooklyn to JFK after zman Moitzai Shabbos.
I am sure they have the gates available on a Saturday night to make such a minor schedule change when they do the scheduling a year in advance.

I guess they want to stay Delta Airlines and not become Heimishe Deli Airlines.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!
