I believe it's the UAE that blockaded Qatar, the Qataris would be happy to have flights to the UAE. While it's true Qatar is closer to the shiite world of Iran, Turkey, Hamas, & Hezbollah, they have the best relationship with Israel with significant unpublished official visits, much like the UAE has been before the ultimate normalization.

Qatar finances Gaza at the behest of Israel since the US stopped their financing against Israeli request. Israel is mostly happy with the current status quo in Gaza, and every time the Qatari money runs out Hamas increases it's violence until Israel succeeds in persuading the Qataris to send more funds.

Qatar is forward thinking country that hosts 10k USA troops including the command for many middle east operations. It is in no way in Iran's pocket and normalization with Israel is definitely conceivable.

This is the truth! Qatar is probably the country with the most diplomats who visit Israel....(to visit Gaza but still). There is no question they are more on the level of UAE relationship with Israel. People there are much more modern on par with the UAE then Iran/Syria.

I'm confused. She says there needs to be a solution for the Palestinians, and that there will be progress in the coming weeks?

Bahrain said the same thing, but signed a peace agreement without any Palestinian deal. They just need an excuse to sign.

Nice.

Can't wait for the day when Israir will be on route to KSA  ::)

Until recently I was under the impression that it wont happen as long as the king is 'around'. But i've read several opinions over the past few days pointing to internal pressure slowly pushing him to approve a deal with Israel.. time will tell

Will actually be a game changer for Muslim Hajj and Umrah.
Currently the route from Israel is often, a bus/taxi over one of the Jordanian border crossings then another very long bus ride or flight from Jordan to KSA.

Yes. That's something that former minister Ayoob Kara has been talking about for years.

Already back in 2017 he mentioned potential seasonal direct flights to KSA for Hajj

https://www.bignewsnetwork.com/news/264077622/netanyahu-says-israel-planning-direct-tel-aviv-mecca-flights

And in November 2019 he was already talking about Israelis being able to visit Gulf states shortly

Seems like they still plan on allowing incoming flights, but not outbound?!?

Yeah. It's been posted in the Covid/ Israel not reopening to foreigners.

I find it useless to cancel flights. If they want they can cancel the concept of green countries and force everyone into quarantine. But potentially canceling flights for the sake of doing something is overkill

Or come up with something more sensible than a 14 day quarantine for all. Brief quarantine with testing required within a short period before flight, and subsequent testing upon arrival and during short quarantine.
