Immigration is working for arrivals. Departures are mostly cancelled - there's a discrepancy between press releases and flightradar data

This is excellent news, until now this area was only used when flying VIP with ארבל.

Last Aug for 6 passengers it costed $1,000
Arbel service means, you leave your luggage on that red carpet and someone walks you to a lounge, you sit in your private room until ready for boarding, and you have security in the lounge + passport control, and a nice van drives you to the plane. (Very similar to Fattel but much cheaper)
So sure people will still use this.

But for sure people paid those prices to Arbel and Fattel terminal only because they didn't want to wait in those long lines until now only ELAL had a fast track for security before check-in.

If I understand correctly it's not check-in, it's only security questions... so shouldn't take long, especially if there will be 5 people at the desk.

Sure it helps.
Once you get your security labels you go straight to the biz line check-in counters and you don't have to wait on the long snake line for about 50 min.

I only fly LY - i hadn't realize that other airlines don't have a dedicated Security line.

They used to have until Covid, then after Covid it was a grey area and ultimately they put them in with everybody else

This is incorrect, it was used for all VIP pax. Arbel used to do in lounge and was recently changed to do the initial questioning in the same area as the rest of the VIP pax (excl Fattal).

Arbel also occasionally doesn't have actual security staff and sends you into the main security lines - the only advantage being that you can sit in a lounge while somebody else does your check in. It also increased in price and for a single passenger isn't much cheaper than Fattal.

Hard to believe the new Premium/VIP security questioning area won't be overwhelmed at least initially. Fattal is the only solution these days.
