Staying at Sheraton Tel Aviv on a Thursday night and then again the next Sunday and Monday nights, all on points.   Any way to take advantage of the 3 nights + 1 even though not consecutive (or any other advantages that I'm not thinking of)?

people stay in Category One hotels for cash and points. If you do that to reach a total of 25 stays (consecutive nights don't count) then you'll be plat.

It's good for executive Club Lounge privileges, 500 bonus pts per stay, and other good perks.
Do you have to check in?

Must be same property. Also must be 4 + 1 not 3+1

When I'm signed in, it says "Enjoy 1 more night when you stay 3 consecutive nights or more."

I see it on my account but only on st Regis stays. Also, check the fine print - these promos are usually only valid on paid stays

Is there a general difference between Westins and Alofts?

Thanks

Cool! Do you have a link?

When booking a room for a couple, can I put both our SPG #s on, to help us both with statuses?

On mobile so I can't get link. Just go into your profile or account settings. Something like that. One Spg # per reservation

Also keep in mind that alofts usually have very funky (weird) room designs and layout like a frosted wall separating the bathroom from the room, and strange things like that. In general I'm a huge westin fan, I think their hotels are from the most comfortable and inviting, out of the whole spg lineup. My 2 cents.

so do people always use the same one?
also, if only one of us has the credit card, is there any benefit to booking from that one?

I guess so. I know i do. 2 benefits off the top of my head : a) you already have stay credits from having the cc. b) you get 2/3/4 times points by booking Spg hotel with Spg cc
