When transferring points between spouses, who needs to call? The transferer? transferee? both?

Thanks

I've got a SPG promo that gives me a free night cert for each stay (up to 2 stays). Anyone know if booking 2 rooms on the same date counts as 1 stay or 2?

Why do I never receive these promos?

Counts as 2 towards status.

It was on the homepage for me when I logged into my account.
Usually I don't look at the big splash screen stuff, but I looked closer this time, and was pleasantly surprised!
Certs good for 1 free Cat5 (or lower) night each.

Good chance the fine print excludes it from being on the same night. Read it carefully. My assumption is if it's not in the fine print you should be good to go.

The fine print mentions:
Quote
An eligible stay is a stay with at least 1 eligible paid night at any of the over 1,200 participating Starwood hotels and resorts paying an eligible paid rate during the promotion period.

So I think it should work.
Thanks again!

it's always a YMMV. It's also a plat benefit to have early check-in and up to 4:00pm check out. Almost makes one night worth two nights in that case.
In your situation, they will give you an area, but if it's really needed, then a friend can book you a room on plat and request early check in. (They can even ask in advance and it may be available...)

Just had the same at a hotel, I requested early check in, (i am a Gold Member) they told me on the phone that they couldn't guarantee it because the night before was full, but they could for sure hold my bags until the next available room opened up
If you think nobody cares about you... just forget to pay your credit card bill

WTH is this? When completing the booking there's no additional fees.

sometimes there's an extra "resort fee", but usually all points is a free night.you will not be charged when you reserve. Were you charged at checkout?

Haven't stayed there yet, but there's no resort fee at this location.

I know I won't be charged when I reserve. Question is where they get this amount from?
