Quick Question - someone booked an spg stay for me with their points while I got my points together from multiple accounts. Now the hotel grossly raised the award rates - is there anyway to just change the spg number on the reservation or would it be a cancel and rebook at the higher rates?

perhaps you can be added as a second person on the current SPG reservation, and when your friend needs those points again, then you can book him an SPG room for the same number of points with his name on the reservation.

spg card doesn't get you upgrades. Status does. The better status you have the better chance you have of getting an upgrade.

Some sheraton suites have sinks, microwaves, and fridges. Yes, double bedroom with a door to the living area and a queen "sleep-sofa" couch.

Depends on the city/location.
Sheraton Suites in Plantation, FL and Cypress Creek FL both have those ammenities for a small # of points per night, and an outdoor pool. Do you need to be in a specific area? Or anywhere in the USA?
