Did you email or call Asian to see if they would make Roasted Beef?
Personally I'd eat there first so you have a chance to return many times ;)

The 10/15 peso tichel store is on the corner of Tucuman and Paso across the block from El Jaial and Super Modelo.  Post the name and address of it please if you go there.

We're going to Asian for dinner tomorrow.  I emailed and made a reservation in the main restaurant per your suggestion.  We figured that since we'll only be in BsAs for dinner tonight and tomorrow,  we'd rather try a not as good place first than try Asian tonight and be disappointed tomorrow at Al Galope.

I must have walked by that store 5 times already. I'll try to get the name tonight when we head back for dinner.

Probably will be closed tonight.
Be sure to get some dulce ice cream from Ba Li on Tucuman.

And to get alfajores from kokush and Malena. And churros from Malena.

And the Lemon Mousse sorbet from maichel after dinner tonight.

And a submarino drink from Sushi Go right by the hotel.

And...shall I keep going :D

Wow,  that's a list.  Maybe we'll go back to Maichel for their lemon mousse.  We tried the dulce de Leche and it was pretty good.  I forgot about the alfajores,  but we picked up some bread and empanadas from Kokush earlier as well for breakfast tomorrow,  just haven't tried them yet. Thanks for all the reminder tips!

It's nice to walk around the stores in Palermo before going to Asian.
Also remember that all Freddo and Persicco stores citywide have kosher ice cream. Just ask for the kosher list.

Maybe Friday afternoon. We just landed 4 hours ago!!
There's 3 of them in Abasto, be sure you're at the right one :D
In Abasto my wife has bought some really cute jean skirts at a store called Tannery.  Had different stuff both times but she was surprised to find knee-length skirts that easily.

We're planning on walking around Palermo first, assuming it's not pouring. Also could be we can go shopping at Abasto, especially if it's that cheap.

I wouldn't say it's really cheap at Abasto, but at 10:1 it's decent.

I don't know what super modelo is paying,  but dolarblue.net says the rate is 9.4-9.7 so I'm really We've been to Maichel for ice cream so far,  and we plan on eating at Al Galope tonight for dinner. Where are the tichels?  We looked in Hasofrim and they didn't have any.
Maichels dulce de leche ice cream is the best ice cream I've ever had period.
Funny enough I actually really like their vannila (which funny enough is yellow!) But in general most of their ice creams are awesome!
They have a weird wine ice cream... Didn't like that .. But it was interesting!
I recommend the sweetbreads at Asian "mojecha" (moshecha) they are one of a kind, and I doubt you'll ever taste anything like it. As well their huge 1.5kg steak is simply an experience you have to try!
The Thai beef salad was discontinued but is occasionally put back on. If it is back it is a must! Simply out of this world. A lot of my friends recommend the salmon salad there.. crispy chicken salad is nothing special. beef  Spring rolls are awesome , and the pastrami steak thing is the best pastrami I've ever had. Dang I want to go back!

Did you go to Ba Li?

Thai Beef...yummmm!
Disagree on the crispy chicken, thought it was very good.
Pastrami is unbelievable but still can't compete with roasted beef.

The roasted beef is pretty insane - it is prepared in advance and they do an amazing job. It literally melts in your mouth. The chicken salad was good, just not of the best things Asian has. I.e Thai beef is way better.
I don't recall going to Ba Li?
P.s. at Asian I recommend getting a bottle of my favorite Argentinian wine.
Its called mar umatok and the grape you want is "Malbec" Argentina's specialty! Its simply amazing!

I don't know if you can tell from the picture but Go Sushi Go is gone! They're all boarded up. Oh well.

Just went to Luba for lunch instead. It's in the same building as Chabad of Recoleta. It's small, but pretty good.

Asian makes so many awesome mixed drinks I'd skip the wine.

cocktails were very nice indeed. but meat and wine.. - i hear you though..
I don't know if you can tell from the picture but Go Sushi Go is gone! They're all boarded up. Oh well.
there is another sushi shop - i don't know the name but it's owned by the mizrachi family (possibly the name too). sushi is decent but the kicker is the smoked salmon baguette! loaded with lox like no tomorrow, and filled with some other awesome vegetables sauces etc.. it was quite cheap in my day. don't know prices now.
