The chef claims he's been there for years.... Israeli guy.
I'll try to post some stuff soon. We tried pretty much everything on the menu.

We tried lots of stuff on the menu too, will post some pictures soon. Like jaywhy it still can be a winner when you factor in the price you are paying, and they still have other very tasty dishes.

Anyone want to post the best current dishes and a pic of their current menu?

Crispy Chicken Caesar Salad $126 (about $9 usd) - I ordered this for my appetizer, excellent.

Meat Spring Rolls $110 (about $7.5 usd) - Friend got these, very good too.

Ribeye 250 gr. Marinated In Pineapple, Ginger And Soy Sauce + Deepfried Potatoes $185 (about $13 usd) - Very good though a bit on the dry side.

Beef Premium Ribs with BBQ Sauce $198 (about $14 usd) - Friend got these, a lot more moist and flavorful.

Off-the-menu Passion fruit and Mango Smoothie $40 (about $2.5 usd) - Amazing drink, had to get a second one that night.

We also got a couple glasses of wine $50 (about $3.5 usd) a glass. And a Margarita drink was decent $55 (about $4 usd).  They also charge a small ($2 usd per person) seating fee, apparently this is very common in Argentina. And now I am very hungry..

I agree with the above.  I was very underwhelmed with Asian.  The Ribs were directly dry,  the Pastrami was very tough and had lots of gristle.  The appetizers were pretty good, and the cocktails were OK.

However the real winner was the dessert.

Did you ask why he won't make roasted beef anymore?

He says they can't get the meat they need anymore.

Stinks.
Bribe him to get the recipe and type of meet needed?

Mike's short ribs come to the closest to it, but the roasted beef was even better.

Maybe we should bombard them with emails.
Sounds surprising that Argentina is lacking in some sort of meat...

That's what I was thinking. Aren't they one of the largest beef producing countries in the world?

I'd appreciate some crowdsourcing on planning a possible trip to Argentina. Will likely have a little over a week on the ground and want to hit Iguazu Falls, Buenos Aires and El Calafate. Thoughts on this split? Do I need more/less time in any place?

IGR – 3 days (Tues-Thur)
EZE – 4 days, includes shabbos (Fri – Mon)
FTE – 2.5 days (Tues – Thur)

Thanks in advance for your input.

Do you plan on doing both sides of the falls? I think 2 days there is plenty, but if you arrive Tue afternoon and leave Thu morning it makes sense.
4-5 full days in EZE is good. Assuming you have all day Friday (if it's the summer), Sunday and Monday to do things you should be good.
I never went to FTE.

Plan is just Argentina side of the falls. Reading through the thread that seemed ok. Do you think we need Brazil side too? We'd have almost 3 full days: Tuesday morning through Friday morning

It would be winter, so Friday is somewhat limited - though looks like candle lighting is still relatively late (7:30-8ish). We would have all day Sunday and Monday. Better to add a day here at the expense of the falls?

You don't need that much time in IGR, especially if you're not going to Brazil (your not missing that much). I'd leave Thursday afternoon and spend more time in EZE. There's lots to do there, especially if you go on day trips to Tigre or the zoo.

Winter in northern hemisphere (US) = summer in southern hemisphere (Argentina)..

Thanks, Yehoshua!

For anyone who has been to FTE as well - would you prioritize more or less time there?

Very fair point!  :)

No matter what time zones and hemispheres always end up tripping me up.
