Has anyone on DDF booked an intra-Argentina fare intended for locals only?
No but being limited to hand luggage only, and ruling out the AArgentinas flights plus the possibility of being 'asked' for extra payment at the airport, doesn't appeal that much.

Could certainly be useful for hikers/those on a strict budget though.

I've read FT reports of people checking luggage without issue.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

3. You now have an opportunity to visit both sides of the falls without any visas or reciprocity fees.
us citizens don't need to pay  reciprocity fees to see the brazilian side?

When Brazil waived the visa fee for the summer Olympics last year you didn't. Now you have to pay to go to the Brazilian side.

You do, plus need to apply for visa before.

Once at it
Is the Sheraton on the falls worth the extra $$$$?
also, are there perks by staying in the falls? like free second day, night tours etc?

You can access the falls outside of the Park's hours if that's what you mean by perks.

As many in that thread noted, it's probably just to grab the routes while available. But still welcome news.

anyone have any suggestions for grocery stores that sell frozen travel meals in BA?  Also looking for private guide, driver?  Likely staying in Recoleta and going to Chabad for shabbat- is this still my best option?

As a reply to my own question above. I stayed in Recoleta and went to chabad for shabbos day. Decent but not great. They do have a kiddush with some salads and a cholent. They have a restaurant called Luba which was actually pretty good. The kosher stores in the neighborhood of Once are quite small, sell cookies, bread, meat and cheese etc but didnt see prepared foods. I had brought Pom meals with me. I ate at Al Galope and a few other restaurants in Once. All fine. Went on a private tour of the city of BA that I got through a rentalocalfriend. I also went on private jewish tour. Both very good.  Went elsewhere in Argentina which I will write about later.

People over there said not to bother with Asia and that I should make sure go to El Galope. BTW I got to El Galope at around 8pm and it was empty. I was concerned. By the time I left it was packed. Cant believe how late people go out.

I don't understand the Al Galope obsession.

A bit too late for you - apologies - but for others, we ordered meals in advance from Open Kosher which we collected frozen and took on our travels to Patagonia.

Has anyone ever stayed at Hotel Masliah in BA?
It Seems from some Google reviews that it is a Jewish hotel.
Any info will be of help.
TIA

Anyone know where to buy kosher frozen meals in Buenos Aires?

I saw the mention of Open Kosher. Any others? Are there any available in the kosher supermarkets/grocery stores?
