Looks good, can you squeeze in one more night in EZE and leave on Monday?
Or maybe leave Rio on Tuesday evening and leave earlier Thursday to AEP?

Don't forget to search for SDU-IGU as well as GIG-IGU. And check on GOLs Brazilian site in Portuguese for potentially lower prices.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Oy, I am trying to research a single night in BsAs and here I am met with 47 pages of Forum notes. Will you forgive me for not reading it all?

SET-UP: We are heading to Patagonia to celebrate our retirement  8) and have a single night in Buenos Aires before our flight to El Calafate. We will be in BsAs from 9:00A until 4:00P the next day. We are interested in sampling some of the super fine kosher restaurants and have little ambition in terms of sightseeing because we will have just gotten on a very long red-eye.

DINING: We have time for only 1 dinner so we will probably go to Asian Grill.

LODGING: This is where I get stuck. Do we splurge and stay at the Park Hyatt on points or the Intercontinental, where I have Ambassador status and points? Or do we stay in the neighborhood near the Asian Grill so that it's easy to get to the restaurant? How easy and safe is it to get a taxi back and forth from the restaurant?

Thanks!

Stay at the Park Hyatt in Recoleta. The area around Asian Grill is not a very nice. Besides the fact, if you only have one day it's better to be in the center of the action in the Recoleta area, where you're only a 20 minute drive from Once, then to stay all the way out by Asian.

That's quite sad. Oh well, at least we got to try it once.

The bad news: Will still require RT and 30 day advance purchase.

The good news: We can say goodbye to the high price “foreigner” tickets in Argentina.

Arriving in EZE 9am, leaving AEP 6.50PM same day, no kids.

Is it worth doing the Lujan zoo & pretty much skipping BsAs?

Any other must do's in BsAs

No, see BsAs. Take the bike tour (see my TR) or just look sound the city. Go out for ice cream and lunch before going to Aeroparque.

Anyone have an idea of how long it takes for an AR ticket to go back into stock?

I booked a ticket earlier, got it confirmed, but then their site went down and I was unable to pay within the allotted hour. My ticket is now stuck in limbo, showing both confirmed and expired, depending on the page. And my reservation was the last in a fare bucket, so now the prices are higher.

How long until everything resets?

Why don't you use a real TA?

Unless a TA can match or beat the ARS price I don't see why I would.

Did you get one of the $7 tickets?

Argentina’s Flyers Pounce on Fares as Low as $7 as Government Loosens Regulations.

Quote
Cheap travel has arrived in Argentina.

Airlines are offering major discounts on domestic flights after Argentina’s pro-business government, in an effort to boost tourism, scrapped a regulation that set a minimum price that carriers were required to charge their clients.

Aerolineas Argentinas website crashed Wednesday morning as customers rushed to grab flights for 499 pesos ($18.20). Low-cost carrier FlyBondi slashed prices on round-trip flights between Buenos Aires and Bariloche to as low as 199 pesos ($7.26), according to its website. Regional airline Latam offered flights between Buenos Aires and Cordoba for 449 pesos. Customers must buy flights 30 days in advance of the trip to qualify for the price cut.

It’s a major decline from current prices. A flight in August from Buenos Aires to Mendoza, the capital of the nation’s famed wine region, costs 2,785 pesos with Aerolineas Argentinas. FlyBondi and Latam are offering the same route for 699 and 679 pesos, respectively.

The government’s decision to open up Argentina to low-cost carriers is already a controversial issue in Argentina because powerful labor unions warn it will lead to job losses at Aerolineas, whose employees staged a one-day strike on July 13. They protested against low airfares, which they argue would hinder their ability to compete for domestic flights.

Update: all done, and booked properly now. It took 5-6 hours to cancel out and go back to inventory.
