 sorry for chiming in so late, but if she wants to use her SPG pts Remember that SPG to CO or UA is 2 pts per 1 mile
 if available her best bet might be SPG to AA then ElAl or IB . I know its 90k vs 75k,but those 75k will cost her alot more SPG pts
otherwise she will need to find someone who has excess Amex MR and just happens to want SPG, as Amex MR to CO is 1:1. Or for CO transfer SPG to US and then cash in US for CO, but 1st check to make sure the flights can be booked via US

Plenty of Star Alliance availability via Europe in Business class.

Probably best to find someone to trade some Starpoints for AMEX points or CO miles.

may not be necessary as the LeM in BRU is a 2 min walk from the Central Station and 8/9 - 8/10 has C&P for 4k & $60, apx a 20 min walk from the LeM area Milchig & fleshig rests. Or the Shearton at the airport is also a cat 4 4000k & $60
