Pop-up Sukkah on plane?
« on: September 03, 2013, 12:02:44 AM »
Has anyone ever flown with a pop-up sukkah? It's too large to fit into a suitcase...

Any thoughts?

Did they charge you extra for it do to shape/size, or was it considered just another piece of luggage?

All airline sites will give you max dimensions for free checked luggage.

But I can't wait to read about the guy popping open a sukkah on a plane :D

Just to take this a bit off topic based on my impression from the the thread title. I once saw 2 chasidim on a flight from Newark to Rome set up a private suite in coach for shmeiras eynayim. What they did was clip on boards to the seat in front of them and on the aisle so that they wouldn't see anyone. Their contraption completely sealed them in much to the shock of the rest of the passengers and FA's.
