http://www.martindale.com/Find-Lawyers-and-Law-Firms.aspx

Try Martindale Hubbell.

Go to find lawyers, Practice Areas, then choose trademarks. In trademarks they have about fifteen subgroups.

Martindale Hubbell is the place where lawyers look for lawyers.

I've been using him for a few years now (patent and trademarks), quite happy.

I would like to apply for a trademark and would like to get some info.
There are some websites that offer to trademark for around $400 whats the advantage of using a trademark lawyer?
How much should it cost in total using a lawyer, does anyone have any references for a good and cheap trademark lawyer?

It depends if your looking to register a simple trademark that wont be contested now or in the future then go ahead and do it yourself. When your registering a patent or something that might be contested you want to make sure that whoever is registering it fully understands what your filling and you clearly mark what you are filling....

Trademarks don't sound very hard to do. I bet you can do it on the PTO website for next to nothing.

ETA: http://www.uspto.gov/trademarks/teas/index.jsp

ETA: You can even search to make sure it's new on their website http://tmsearch.uspto.gov/bin/gate.exe?f=tess&state=4802:a7l78n.1.1
