Btw which room did u get? From what I understood the east wing of old faithful inn is the only lodging facing the geyser. Is that correct?
Can't remember. It was the left side of the left wing it's the "newer" part of the building

so when you say you would like to plan a trip, you mean you would like everyone else to plan it? Did you even bother reading anything in this thread?

Fly into Bozeman and out of Jackson or vice versa. There's Chabad in both BZN and JAC. Late fall and winter is not the ideal time to visit for most folks as roads close once the snow starts in earnest.

When is a good time to go, not in the summer? Also, is it best to keep sleeping in different hotels every night?
Shabbos on either chabad is an option?

I was there in early June and some of the higher elevation trails were still snowed in. The road between Yellowstone and Teton had opened just a week earlier. Crowd levels were great (easy parking, no traffic at all). I do believe moving between hotels is your best bet to get to see most of the parks.

Thank you,
We flew into BZN Sunday, did 3 nights in West Yellowstone, 1 night in Jackson, and flew out of JAC on Thursday.
Was the perfect amount of time.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Any discount codes for booking hotels (xanterra) in the park? Or any way to book on points - chase or amex?

Anybody have experience doing any of their tours or activities? Anything worth doing (with kids)?
Amex offers some hotels in the park.

Hidden Falls is on the way to Inspiration Point (maybe 2 min detour), so definitely do both.

What else in Grand Teton?
You'll want to pull over at a few scenic overlooks as you head into the park.
Oxbow Bend
Antelope Flats for wildlife
Signal Mountain Summit Road

Day 4 - Wednesday
Not sure what to do
If you drive from Rexburg to Bozeman you'll be driving the 191 North- it's a beautiful scenic drive.

Does anyone know of any people interested in making a minyan between 8/22 - 8/28 in yellow stone or grand teton? I know they are far apart, first seeing in general, then we can discuss if it works.  We have a minyan for shabbos in Bozeman. If anyone else is going happy to share my notes and planning.

Alapacas of Bozeman - they were flexible with timing for me because my flight is landing close to their last tour.

If you want to throw in west Yellowstone grizzly & wolf discovery center was recommended to me.

I haven’t gone yet. I’ll be there next week Be'h

Is the guide along app worth buying if I’m with little kids? I prob won’t be able to listen too much would be more for the planning although I think I have a decent amount of info already without it.

We really enjoyed it, definitely worth it and used it on multiple trips/locations.  Despite doing a lot of research beforehand it helped provide context to what we were going to see and was entertaining even with small kids.
