So a flight like jfk-iad-lax would get upgraded? I take this some times.
I thought the p.s. rule only applied to normal upgrades and not to the award upgrades.

It’s an upgradable flight, I’m not sure what are the chances for an upgrade. From ewr I barely get upgraded on 4+ hour flights as a 1k.

It is a good offer from United.
But in your circumstances I'm not sure it pays for you.
The only real benefit for you would be upgrades (and on EWR LAX is hard to come by)
Unless you buy those tickets (in that case you will get 100% bonus miles) that's when it really pays

   In your case the ability alone to cancel award travel makes this a pretty solid offer.

   btw pmUA gives only a 75% bonus to Premier Platinum.

I have the club card linked to my MP account yet before I made platinum there always was a redeposit fee.

Would you get more baggage allowance? maybe 3 for club card and 3 for pp status?

Club card is 2 pieces of luggage while the status is 3.
