Not getting much. ::)
You have a Nexus, it seems. Which would you recommend the newest Nexus or the S4?

By the newest Nexus you mean the Nexus 4? I have the Gnex, I like it but it's starting to show its age, if I were getting a phone now I'd probably go with the S4.

I'm not sure which, I was just assuming the newest (I think 4).

The s4 is a great phone. The HTC one is also excellent. I prefer it over the s4 since it feels better in the hand and the software is much nicer IMO and less cartoon looking. The s4 does have a removable battery but I've been just fine without it.

The iPhone is also good for what it does. I prefer the openness of  Android.

And I would seriously consider taking a look at the Lumia 925.  An excellent choice as well.

What phone are you coming from?

I hear you, but I am pretty sure i want an Android over an Apple. Im also not so comfortable with a chinese (HTC) phone.
Isn't the Lumia a windows phone?
Im coming from a (very) dumbphone. :)

Yes the Lumia is a windows phone. I'd at least drop into a store and take a look at it.

If you're going the Tmobile route with the frum deal going around where you get a phone you could sell the phone and buy an unlocked nexus 4. Save you some money.

I might just do that. What advantages does the Lumia have?
I was going to ask elsewhere if I can get the phone and sell it. Are you sure i can?

The OS is really nice and runs smoothly. Windows phones have my favorite touchscreen keyboards around.  The Lumia series has a GPS that doesn't need data to run (great for when you're travelling) .
The hardware is really nice as well.  Your best bet is to go in the store and play around with each one for a while.

Am I sure you can sell a phone? Why not?

Hmm sounds good, and the GPS is enticing.

i know it can be sold physically,  ::), but will the next person be able to use it no problem?

As long as they are using it with T-mobile it shouldn't be a problem.
Unlock it and you could get more for it potentially.

Ok
I believe it cant be unlocked before 90 days of use.
Im thinking of getting the S4 even for the lines I dont want a smartphone and then selling them to cover the rest. Feasible?

can someone explain to me why they care so much that they have to be able to "set" their own phones? whats wrong with the apple way of having a phone?

i am using a droid this past week (RAZR) and i personally dont mind being formed to the apple phone. i dont mind not having my own settings to a phone. besides that GO SWYPE is a disaster and the phone is huge, i dont personally why there is such a demand for the droid phones, or the hate towards the iphone.
If you have any questions please search and then ask. PM me for detailed help.

Hate towards the iphone is just silly. They do make a great product. Personally I like not having to use itunes. And I like being able to customize my phones more. The iphone is def limited in this area. Plus people having been using it for years already and just want something new and different.
But there is nothing wrong with the iphone and there are people out there who will always prefer it.

When you get to Android because there are so many different options for phones you're going to have some Android phones that aren't so great and some that are fantastic. Like I said before I wouldn't have recommended  a Droid so I wouldn't judge all Android phones just by your one experience now.

After all is said and done you may still prefer the iphone and its simplicity. But the Droid is not giving Android a fair chance IMO.

BTW, only certain Android phones from VERIZON are referred to as Droids.  But I assume you were talking about Androids in general.
