Pomegranate makes very good Cholent. They give out small bowls for free on Thursdays

So I went to Gottleibs.

Cholent: This was the best of the 4 I've had so far, and quite good. Still I'd say I've had much better at many a kiddush on shabbos, but it was quite good.
Kugel: Excellent.
Kishke: Very good; it was sort of sweet which added an interesting twist.

Was there at about 10:15. But I was with the meduberes, so didn't really want to make a DO out of it. (although impromptu thurs night cholent DO's sound like an excellent idea).

Dovid malkas cholent is out of this world. And yes its the same recipe..


And if you wanna get the real thursday night cholent vibe. There's a place in montecello (don't remember the name) which has the cholent with the "ibernachte keegle". great experience.
