IDK. But Pesach is the achas bashana (I guess twice this year) when you can come to my house for a fleshing cholent. (got to make up for the lack of beans)
Sorry it ain't "cholent." It's just overcooked meat and potatoes
Better meat and potatoes than beans and potatoes if those are the 2 options.
Yopchik is the way to go on Pesach.
Did you mean the store or the type of food?
Correct. Although my Pesach cholent is a hit as well
I meant the food.
Recipe? Also, where's the yapchic recipe thread?
Make one large potato kugel, put half in the bottom of a crockpot, cover with meat and fried onions, put the other half on top, cook overnight, add water as needed.
what meat is preferred for this?
anybody have a recipe for a good Pesach cholent (non-gebrochts and non-kitnios)? can be different but has to have a resemblance to cholent.
We just put a French roast and onions/carrots in a crockpot. Better than trying to fake a chulent. You can also add some kishka.
