British Airways awards on AA failing to request DOB

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? for the past 5-6 weeks when i try to book a AA flight on BA.com it wont ask me for passenger DOB and i have to call in the add it, otherwise the booking is not ticketed.

I figured that it depends which flights some flights it will ask some flights not

I've had once where I put it in, and I still had to call to add it again.

Same here. But then again I've also had where it didn't ask me for the DOB and it ticketed the next day without calling

Had now that BA did prompt for date of birth but reservation has not been ticketed, anything to worry about ?

DOB not required for ticketing. They will get your info at the airport.

It is with BA's partners.

And they've had an issue for weeks now.

I had an issue with Cathay last week. I put in the DOB and it still didnt issue the ticket. I had to call.

Was booking a flight with Avios, Rep. told me that the issue is solely with short-haul flights like JFK-YUL.

how would you know if a ticket doesnt ticket- would you not get a ticket number in the email? or would you get a ticket number and you wouldnt know till pax is in airport?

Some don't know you need an E-ticket number....

Or if you pull up your reservation on AA.com it'll show as 'unknown' instead of 'ticketed'.
