Interrogated by the TSA
« on: July 23, 2013, 12:57:51 PM »
Has this been going on for a while? First time I've experienced it.

"So what brought you to MA?"
"I live here."
(looks at license) "That's not what this says."
"I used to live in IL."
"But it says you renewed it very recently"
"I was in school here"
"what school"
"harvard"
"what major"
"law"
"Are you planning to travel again to MA in the next few months"
"Next week"
"Ok, you can go"

It feels like a border crossing.

The CABP don't have a right to ask that either.

+1

If only someone could put an end to the abuse of "power" and put these people in their place, nobody wants to risk missing their flight (or worse) so we all let the TSA/government get away with this stupidity.

Seriously, are any of these TSA agents even trained in deception-detection (or whatever it's called)? Why do we let these fools on a power-trip interrogate us (innocent travelers) like this. The terrorists have won  :'(

They have no business asking him anything in the first place other than "Do you by any chance have a bomb in your pocket"!

Do you mind when Elal security does it?  Personally, the more the better in my opinion.
If you don't care why would you comment?

really??????? ur okay with that? dont u want to know that if a person goes on ur flight that when they say that they are from place "A" and thedir license says that their from place"B" someone considered the red flag enough to ask a few more question instead of just ignoring it?

No, I don't. But that's because Israel doesn't guarantee the same rights the US does.

The fact that they break the law bothers me more than the actual questioning.

Of course. But I don't think they should have asked me why I was visiting in the first place.

if there wasnt a reason i would agree but it sounded to me like the TSA person was slightly suspicious and was probably just judging ur answer, but if that isnt the case than i completely agree with u

Whenever they ask me for my name at the airport I always mispronounce it for the fun of it.  It makes no difference and is meaningless.

You spelled it wrong, it's a double 'ech'
